Learning how to image Christ and working to understand the Bible through songs, memory verses, Bible stories, and prayer is what Sunday School is all about at CBC.  Classes meet weekly at 9am.

Sunday School

Toddlers

The Sunday School program at CBC begins in the toddler room where our little children (2 & 3 year olds) learn some big truths about God.  Our toddlers learn that Jesus loves them and died for them and that the best thing they can do is to obey the Lord.

4′s & 5′s

Children in the 4′s & 5′s class begin to learn the Bible stories in more detail and learn to sing with all their hearts.

Primary Class

1st  and 2nd graders make up the primary class.  As they study the Bible they learn how to apply Biblical truths to their lives as they study Gideon, Esther, Joshua & Jesus.

Middlers Class

3rd  and 4th graders are the Middlers-our newest elementary Sunday School class.

Junior Class

4th and 6th grade students learn to internalize the lessons of Scripture. Knowing what the Bible says is the first part of the process. Believing that its truths can be lived and practiced must follow. Believing and sharing the Gospel, obeying God, serving others, and becoming like Christ are some of the topics the Juniors study.

Junior High Class

7th through 9th graders study topics such as basic Bible beliefs, growing spiritually, & making wise choices. Our junior high students learn about Old Testament biblical characters such as the judges, Elijah & Elisha, Ruth, & Caleb. They are also taught Biblical views of family, spiritual conflict, and human nature.

Senior High Class

Jesus according to John, the Exodus, Philippians, and Acts are some of the Biblical subject that 10th through 12th graders study in Sunday School. In addition, topics such as Baptist distinctives and future events part of the Senior High curriculum.

Adult Classes

Adult Sunday School classes tackle a variety of topics throughout the year. From Biblical book studies to topical studies, the adults dig into the meat of God’s Word. Depending on the subject matter the adult classes may divide up into smaller groups.
