Awana Clubs are here at CBC!
Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). It is an international organization dedicated to seeing children learn of God?s love for them. The Awana program at Calvary Baptist Church seeks to provide an atmosphere in which your child can enjoy growing spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Each Wednesday evening our clubs meet from 6:45-8:30pm. Check-in starts at 6:45pm with opening ceremony promptly at 7pm in the CBC gymnasium. CBC sponsors four clubs for children from age 4 to 6th grade.
Each week Awana clubbers participate in the following general components:
Game Time
?stressing healthy competition with emphasis on having fun and good sportsmanship?win or lose.
Large Group Time
?singing and teaching from God?s Word in a way that is fun and relevant to the children?s lives.
Small Group Time
?consists of time spent where clubbers work on handbooks and recite Bible verses.
